In this week after Christmas and before New Years Day, I thought I would turn to praises in the Psalms. This sunset from last week seems to want to say more than I am able, so here is something better.
Praise the Lord, my soul.
Lord my God, you are very great;
you are clothed with splendor and majesty.
The Lord wraps himself in light as with a garment;
he stretches out the heavens like a tent
and lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters.
Psalm 104:1-3
God doesn’t seem to need houses made by people or clothes that we wear. God is wrapped in light. Let’s consider God as revealed by the birth and life of Jesus. Let’s be infected with that light and pass it on.
