This time of year, specifically in the Pacific Northwest (or anywhere else that may be a bit chilly) you think of staying warm, or coming in from the cold and getting close to a fire.
A couple weeks ago, we had a chance to cross over the border of our neighbors to the north and spend time with one of our family members. The time together was great and the place we stayed had a nice fireplace (image taken from said fireplace). The flames provided a little warmth, but the time with loved ones provided even more.
It made me think of where we find True warmth this time of year as well as every other day of the year. Our Creator. He provides real warmth and the perfect comfort.
Jesus is the source of all things good. When you are bitterly cold from this sinful world, find Jesus and the warmth will ensue. Just like this glowing fire, Jesus will provide all you need.
Phillippians 4:19
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
The best advice is to stay close to the source of the warmth and He will supply your needs. IF you currently are in the cold, pray and seek Him – the warmth is closer than you think .
