It seems like the weather is all topsy-turvy lately. The journalists writing the news mention “unprecedented” when referring to pretty much everything.

This photo is of the Tumwater Dam which is on the Wenatchee River, just west of Leavenworth beside Highway 2. The water collects behind the dam and makes a pretty peaceful collection there generally but in the spring, water can be moving at quite a clip over the dam and above and below it.

This dam was built in the early 1900’s. There is also a fish ladder which was built more recently.

It’s so nice to have some refreshing water when everything around is all dried up. With all of the high temperatures and wildfires, I am looking forward to cooler weather and some precipitation!

And now, GOD, do it again—
bring rains to our drought-stricken lives
So those who planted their crops in despair
will shout “Yes!” at the harvest,
So those who went off with heavy hearts
will come home laughing, with armloads of blessing.
Psalm 126: 4-6 (The Message)
