I saw this marmot when I hiked up Hurricane Hill, which is a hike you can do in the Hurricane Ridge area of Olympic National Park. This is one of my favorite hikes as there are views and wildflowers and wildlife all along the trail. If you don’t feel up to hiking all of the way up to the top, you can see all of these things pretty much starting at the car park.
I like these verses in Psalm 23 about how God looks after us:
GOD, my shepherd!
I don’t need a thing.
You have bedded me down in lush meadows,
you find me quiet pools to drink from.
True to your word,
you let me catch my breath
and send me in the right direction.
Psalm 23:1-3 (The Message)
