I took this photo a few years ago in Osoyoos (Canada’s “pocket desert”), British Columbia. Osoyoos is a border town and shares Osoyoos Lake (Canada’s warmest lake), Highway 97 and the border with Oroville, Washington.

It seems like the world today has forgotten its actual origins. As multiple wars are being fought over land and power, we would do well to remember these Bible verses:

The earth belongs to the LORD, and everything in it—
the world and all its people.
He built it on the waters
and set it on the rivers.

Psalm 24:1-2 (NCV)
