I may have mentioned it before, but spring is my favorite time of the year. There is something about the first hint of bright vibrant colors. At least in the Pacific Northwest, we tend to see more lush greens and lots of flowering colors of the rainbow during the months following winter.
Along with those colors and new blooms, comes new life. In nature we see this in all forms, whether it’s the budding trees, the baby animals or all the flowers in the garden.
That new life can be a symbol to all. As we emerge from the cold, dark months, we see light — beautiful light ahead of us. Just think, no matter what you’ve experienced in the past, God gives that new change, that new life, allowing us to move forward.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!”
We, just like all the other creations, have a new beginning. That new beginning isn’t just a start after the cold months of winter, no, this beginning is for all eternity. Through HIM we are created new.
