This tulip tree enthusiastically shows off its petals. May is a great time for flowers. It makes me think about how nature shows us facets of God’s love. Also, in the Bible, I like these verses with a few ideas about what it means for people to put love into action.
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
Romans 12:9-13
Sometimes it seems like evil in the world cannot be overcome. But, when we put love into action in so many possible ways, it makes a huge difference.
