The image you see here was taken this past weekend at a local plant nursery, which also includes a farm-like animal viewing area. If you are up in the Snohomish area, stop by Flower World. As you can see, this lamb was enjoying an afternoon nap. With its eyes closed, it portrays calmness and peace.

Jesus was known as the Lamb of God, as well as the Prince of Peace. How fitting for what the sinful world needed, when He stepped down from Heaven and how fitting for what the planet needs even more today.

John 1:29 (NIV)
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

John recognized Jesus as the one that would come and take away our sins, giving us the ability to accept a gift – we don’t deserve. That peace. That calmness. That’s what we need. That’s exactly what we get, when we allow the Holy Spirit to work in our lives, bringing us closer to our Savior, in a daily walk with Him.

May you find peace in your walk with the Lamb of God this week.
