Back in late April I was in an office supply store when I spotted this party-balloon teetering disconsolately on the floor. Attached to it is a string or ribbon, the other end of which is tied to the pole in the background.
The marketers’ idea was to use the balloon to valiantly draw shoppers’ attention to whatever occupies the four boxes beside the pole (possibly printer-scanners). But the helium is gone, and the balloon is worthless as a witness.
