Some days it feels like it is enough to just pause and enjoy a peaceful scene in nature. Not everyone sees the same thing at the same moment. Behind this scene were fisherman on the boat dock, kids swimming, paddle boarders launching out, and family members relaxing on chairs. Each one was enjoying something different in the same environment.
It makes me think about reading the Bible. Some religions surprisingly discourage reading God’s word in favor of reading commentaries and listening to the leaders. However, the Bible encourages diving into the word.
The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.
Psalm 119:130
Whatever our interests and no matter our differences, everyone can learn by reading. Not everyone reads the same parts of the Bible at the same time, but we all can enjoy discovering things from it. Let’s regularly take a break from our activity and read in the Bible.
