Earlier this week while driving along a backroad in our area, I saw this mind-jolting scene. A tall, official sign proclaims a command, and someone has disobeyed it in the most in-your-face manner.
Immature youths? Anger against the “nanny state”? Or just pure brutal rebellion? Not sure.
I wonder what, if anything, could make me want to flaunt the law like this? I’m a seasoned senior citizen who’s made a habit of staying within the rules and not leaving messes behind me which others have to clean up.
So what gets into people to do this kind of thing? Or for that matter, why does sin exist?
Sin is illogical, which is what makes it so scary. Have you ever heard of the Seven Deadly Sins? Here’s a link which describes and tries to explain them.
