My favorite season is spring and winter is my least favorite. (I’d probably appreciate winter more in a more moderate climate. The temperature in Central Washington yesterday morning was -2°F.)
This photo is of a hyacinth. They are one of my favorite garden spring flowers both for their bright colors and their sweet scent. Thinking of spring flowers helps me get through the cold of winter.
These cycles of the seasons started at Creation:
With your finger you opened up springs and creeks,
and dried up the wild floodwaters.
You own the day, you own the night;
you put stars and sun in place.
You laid out the four corners of earth,
shaped the seasons of summer and winter.
Psalm 74:15-17 (The Message)
