With snow in the forecast, I couldn’t wait and found a snow picture from last year. I like how the snow clings to the fence. The snow even extends out wider than the top of the fence as if it really wants to stay there. I searched for verses with “cling” in them and found one I really like.

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
Romans 12:6-9

When I think about the variety of skill that people have, it is really amazing what people can do. Each one of us has talents we can use and develop even more. I like how this verse says to cling to what is good. It is easy to gravitate to lower base natures in life, but when we cling to things and talents that are good, it is amazing what we can accomplish.
