This past Tuesday afternoon, as Shelley and I were heading out on some errands, she drew my attention to the western sky. What she showed me happened about 20 minutes before what you see in the above photo. The earlier scene featured several thin white jet contrails crisscrossing the sky.
The upper air must have been breeze-free, because by the time we reached the parking lot of the store we were going to, the contrails had stayed in place, but had greatly widened to the view you see above.
Tic-tac-toe, I thought. Looks like a gigantic tic-tac-toe game, ready for the X’s and O’s.
Is life nothing more than a planet-wide game, with the “win” going to the smartest survivalists? Is it up to us to know how to fill in the squares while keeping alert to the moves of the enemy?
It’s true that there is a many-centuries-long “great controversy” going on, in which Satan and his other fallen angels have been doing their best to ruin humanity and its relationship with the Creator.
