Earlier this week, my neighbor and I got into a conversation while he was working on his car in his driveway. I mentioned to him about the torched car in yesterday’s blog, and together we mused on why someone would do that. I said, “You hear about these things on the news, but when it happens in a church parking lot in a nice neighborhood, it really makes you think. It brings it a lot closer.” He nodded.
Right then I happened to glance at the sky above us, and saw what you see in the photo—clouds. I knew my neighbor is a Christian, so I pointed up at the clouds. “One of these days,” I said, “the Lord will come down, and there won’t be any more torched cars.” He nodded again, and said earnestly, “I know. I know just what you’re talking about.” And we gazed into the sky again. I got my phone out and took the above picture.
