I drove a backroad loop a few weeks ago in Central Washington. It started just north of Omak and went west and then north through the Sinlahekin Wildlife Area and on up to Loomis and Nighthawk and Oroville.

The wildlife I saw was mostly birds (including turkeys, ducks and osprey) with a couple of deer and a painted turtle thrown in. The wildflowers were really amazing.

I was a mile from the still-closed Canadian border when I saw this sign. Signs are really good for telling us where we are and where we are going.

The Bible works the same way for us spiritually:

The revelation of God is whole and pulls our lives together. The signposts of God are clear and point out the right road. The life-maps of God are right, showing the way to joy. The directions of God are plain and easy on the eyes. God’s reputation is twenty-four-carat gold, with a lifetime guarantee. The decisions of God are accurate down to the nth degree.
