|Dear Bellevue SDA Church Members –
Here are some facts—a review and a link—to our “virtual” church business session.
When: This coming Sunday, July 26, at 5:00 p.m.
Where: On your computer, tablet or smartphone (or other viewing device) by way of a Google Meet link: meet.google.com/kze-qkvx-abu You simply click this link a couple of minutes before 5 p.m. that Sunday, and follow the directions.
What if I don’t use a computer, or use a “non-smart” phone? No problem. You can dial in with your house phone or cell phone using this number: 1-513-491-3143. You’ll be asked for a PIN number, and here it is: 612 416 596 and then the pound (#) key.
Who should come to this meeting? If you are a member of our Bellevue SDA church, this business meeting is for you. As a member, you will be able to vote on the issue we discuss.
Remind me about the issue we’ll be discussing. Below you’ll find the email Head Elder Rich Wong and I sent out to you a bit over a week or so ago, asking you to hold the date for this meeting. Take a couple of minutes to read it carefully so you can be prepared for the meeting.
ON SUNDAY, JULY 12, MAYLAN HAD WRITTEN:
Dear Bellevue SDA Church Members —
Head Elder Rich Wong and I would like to invite you to a church business a couple of Sunday evenings from now. If you’re a member of our congregation, you’re invited to attend. Rich will give you details below.
RICH WRITES: Church Family,
You may recall that at our September Church Business Meeting, the church approved the Kitchen Expansion project and the associated cost of approximately $250K. After the project approval, the city placed a requirement to install a fire sprinkler system for the whole church if the square footage of the building is increased. The cost estimate for the sprinkler system would have added approximately $100K to the project. The church board decided to find an alternate kitchen remodel plan which would not require the installation of the fire sprinkler system.
The Kitchen Committee proposed an alternative plan which will not require the building expansion and the associated expense of installing a fire sprinkler system. The Church Board has approved the proposal to be brought before the church family for approval at a church business meeting. A Church Business Meeting will be held on Sunday, July 26th at 5 pm. Due to the health and safety of our church family, the meeting will be held virtually. Instructions to attend will be provided in a separate e-mail and accommodations will be made for individuals who do not have access via Zoom. I look forward to your attendance.
