It is fun to see animals enjoying a time of good weather. In this image a Silkie hen is kicking up dirt while dust bathing. In the background a Silkie rooster stays nearby. You may remember them from past pictures. These two chickens are devoted friends to each other, and are never far apart. The rooster has defended the hen from hawks and a bobcat. He may not have lasted long but he held off the predators until we could run out of the house to rescue the chickens. It is a good thing they have people friends, too. (When we are not around, we put them in a more secure area.)

Similarly, the best friend we can have is Jesus.

“No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.” John 15:15

Let’s listen to what Jesus says to know the Father and follow Him.
