For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NLT)
It’s a little early in the season for crocuses to bloom but I found some buds in my garden yesterday. Plants have their seasons and so do people.
The start of a new year is always a time of reflection and many feel compelled to make resolutions and set new goals for themselves. There is nothing wrong with setting realistic goals but when it comes right down to it, we are in control of very little in our lives.
Change comes to us all. Sometimes it is good and sometimes it is not so good. There is only one constant in the equation and that is something that I find very comforting:
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Hebrews 13:8 (NLT)
